About Sifu A. KháLeef Ali
A. KháLeef Ali, began his martial arts training
in Ed Parker's American Shaolin Kenpo at age seven and at age
fourteen choose Wing Chun Kung as a way of life. He began training
in Yip Man's Wing Chun Kung Fu in 1979 under Sifu Hawkins Cheung
a disciple of Grandmaster Yip Man until he mastered the Sil Lum
Tao, Chum Kil, Bil Jee and the Mok Jong (108 Wooden Dummy form)
forms of Wing Chun Kung Fu.
Ali was certified as a senior instructor of Wing
Chun Kung Fu in 1998 by Grandmasters Chu Shong Tin, Yip
Chun, Moy Yat and Yip Ching of the Ving Tsun Athletic
Association (VTAA) in Hong Kong, China and witnessed by Grandmasters
Hawkins Cheung, Mark Po and Moy Bing Wah also of the VTAA.

Sifu Ali started teaching Yip Man Wing Chun Family
Kung Fu in 1993 in Lynchburg, VA while completing an undergraduate
degree in Business Administration at Liberty University. In 1996,
while completing his Masters in Economics at Morgan State University,
he began offering private instruction and charging professional
fees for his private tutoring services and holding new student
workshops for serious students only. Sifu Ali has held regular
new student workshops in Baltimore, Catonsville, Edgewater and
Beltsville, Maryland over the past 7 years and continues to provide
private instruction to students in Maryland, Washington, DC and
Virginia area.
Sifu Ali moved to Laurel, Maryland in1999 to
meet the growing demand for qualified instruction in traditional
Wing Chun Kung Fu in Maryland, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.
The Invisible Dragon's Lightning Hand School was set-up in the
basement of Sifu Ali's home and he started holding new student
workshops in the area and providing private tutoring.
Our Kwoon was established to honor and perpetuate
the Ving Tsun of Gi Gung Yip Man, Grand Master of our Wing Chun
Kung Fu system. And it is dedicated to the memories of the Shaolin
Nun, Ng Mui and her first and foremost student Yim Wing Chun,
after who our system is named.
